Is your dog happy?

Here are a few ways you can make sure that smile really is a smile.

If you’re like most dog owners, one of your primary goals in life is for your best friend to live a long and happy life. What’s interesting is that keeping your dog happy can contribute to his or her longevity. So how, exactly, can you make sure that your pup is enjoying life and experiencing happiness?

We’ve compiled a list of things that we believe can and will bring joy into your dog’s life on a daily basis. The good news is, almost all of them are easy and every one of them involves you!

  1. Get ‘em up and get ‘em out. Every walk is a new adventure full of smells, sights, sounds and all sorts of discoveries. Ideally…this happens at least twice a day.

  2. Family time. Whether that family is just the two of you or a whole house full, your dog LOVES being part of your family so let them in on the fun.

  3. Play time with doggy friends. Whether it’s visiting a dog park or just strolling next door to visit with a neighbor’s pet, being happy means being social.

  4. Dogs love trucks. And cars. And pretty much anything else that has windows and a speedometer. For your pup, every ride is a joy ride, so hit the road.

  5. Lawn sprinklers. Okay, we admit that not every dog loves them, but we had to put it in here because if your dog digs sprinklers? It’s way too much fun to miss!

  6. Hanging out. Seems pretty simple and it is. Enjoying some down time with you is a great way for your dog to relax, connect and feel loved.

  7. Tasty snacks and treats. You love a little something-something now and then, and so does your dog. Look for treats and chews that are rawhide-free, all-natural, and easy on their tummies.

  8. Feeling good. It’s another simple one, but brushing your dog’s teeth and taking them to the vet for regular check-ups will keep them feeling their best. (Our Dental Chews can help keep your dog’s teeth clean and breath fresh.)

  9. An excited you. No pressure here, but let’s face it – you are your dog’s best friend and when they see you all happy and excited, they can’t help but share the joy.

Remember, when it comes to your dog’s health and happiness, they’re counting on you. And when you’re buying treats and chews, you can count on Chewsday.
